ATLANTA, Georgia – Former President Donald Trump stated on Wednesday that Georgia Governor Brian Kemp is “the worst election integrity governor in the country.”
Trump added that Kemp, “loaded the great state of Georgia up with RINOs.”
Along with former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey will rally for Kemp in the days preceding the Peach State’s May 24 election. All three politicians are members of the Republican Governors Association (RGA), which has footed a $5 million bill to help Kemp maintain his gubernatorial office. In the RGA, Ducey is the chairman, Ricketts is on the executive committee, and Christie is the co-chair of the group’s new fundraising program.
Also, Kemp received an endorsement from the National Rifle Association (NRA) and former President George W. Bush. Kemp will attend a fundraiser in Texas with Bush where reception tickets will fetch $5,000 a head for the general reception, while V.I.P. tickets cost $15,200 each.
American Viewpoint, which describes itself as a “public opinion research center,” released a document on Wednesday that stated that Kemp still holds a simple majority with 51 percent of the vote. Kemp’s chief opponent, David Perdue, was at 35 percent of the vote, according to the document. The research company said its margin of error for the study was 4 percent.
Another finding made by the group was that Trump-movement voters and traditional GOP voters favored the election reform law that was passed in 2021, Senate Bill 202, with over 70 percent of each group stating so.
In March, Donald Trump Jr. made a statement on behalf of his father.
“Do not sit out the primaries, because we will end up with a slate of proper RINOs like Brian Kemp and (Wyoming U.S. Rep.) Liz Cheney. We might as well have Democrats,” he said.
The 45th president concluded his statement on Wednesday, saying, “That’s right, [Kemp] had them all: Chris Christie, Doug Ducey from Arizona, and Pete Ricketts from Nebraska. That tells you all you need to know about what you are getting in Georgia –just a continuation of bad elections and a real RINO if you vote for Brian Kemp.”

With no disrespect to former president Trump, who I voted for, I think the Governor Kemp bashing is ill advised. Governor Brian Kemp still will get my vote. Do I think the election outcome was fishy, yes. Unfortunately, the Democrats covered their tracks well enough, that there were not enough irregularities even today, to formally overturn the elections. Coming out of this, we do have some new State laws on the books, that should make what happened in 2020, be very difficult to repeat. In addition, each State that is using Dominion Systems to count votes, force Dominion to “freeze” each software release, after the machines have been certified. There will be no firmware updated allowed, after the machines have certified and sealed. That was not the case in 2020.
